A 4.5mm longboard — 228.6mm wide and 1524mm long — in twelve tones built to read as a select-grade timber floor. The long, wide format is what gives a room visual flow: fewer end joins across a space, which is the single biggest thing separating a vinyl floor that looks like timber from one that does not.

Where it doesn’t suit

Longboards are unforgiving of a bad subfloor. The longer the plank the less it can follow a dip, so any hollow or hump under it will either telegraph through or leave the board bridging — on a 1524mm plank that shows up far sooner than it would on a 1219mm one. Get the floor levelled properly or choose a shorter board; do not let anyone talk you into laying this over a slab that has not been checked. It can go down glued or loose laid, and on a slab with any moisture history the loose lay option is worth discussing with us first.
