Our story
Specialists, not discounters
Flooring FX started with a simple observation: buying new floors is a big, sometimes stressful decision, and most people don’t know timber from hybrid when they begin. What they need isn’t a harder sell — it’s a trusted expert.
From our base in Stanmore, we’ve spent two decades supplying and installing carpet, engineered timber, hybrid, laminate and vinyl across Sydney — in family homes, offices, strata buildings, pubs and venues. Most of our work still comes the old-fashioned way: referrals from people we’ve looked after.
We’re a lean, hands-on team backed by a bench of skilled installers we’ve worked with for years. That keeps our advice personal, our quotes fast, and our standards consistent — from first measure to final sign-off.

Sustainably sourced timber
We follow the guidelines set by government and industry regulators and only use timber and wood products from sustainable sources — so a beautiful floor never comes at the forest's expense.
Natural, low-VOC choices
Our wool and Triexta carpets are sustainable and free of VOCs (the harmful chemicals some synthetic floors off-gas). Triexta is even made in part from corn sugar — a renewable ingredient in a seriously hard-wearing carpet.
