The ranges
EC wool, heaviest first
Pile weight is what separates these, so they are listed by it rather than alphabetically. Heavier is not automatically better — it is more fibre, which matters in a hallway and is wasted in a spare room.
Elmsford
Extra Heavy Duty (6*)
The top of EC's wool range — 2034g/m² of New Zealand wool in a textured loop, 14mm thick, and the only wool here rated three star for contract use as well as six star residential.
9 coloursCotswolds
Extra Heavy Duty (6*)
1695g/m² of New Zealand wool on the same 14mm build as Elmsford, with a fifteen year insect deterrent guarantee rather than a commercial wear one.
9 coloursDawson Falls
Heavy Duty 2 (4*)
1360g/m² of New Zealand wool at 12.5mm with a single-height 10mm pile, rated four star residential.
9 coloursHause
Extra Heavy Duty 2 (6*)
A refined level loop rather than a textured one, which is what gives it the flattest, most even surface in the wool range.
9 coloursBahamas
Extra Heavy Duty (5*)
New Zealand wool in a textured loop at 11.5mm, five star residential, with a high-low pile that gives it more surface texture than the flatter wools here.
7 coloursSirocco
Extra Heavy Duty (5*)
A low, dense pure wool loop at 5.5mm pile on an 8mm build — the thinnest wool EC makes, and five star residential.

Not sure wool is the right fibre?
That's the conversation worth having before you pick a colour. We'll bring samples of every fibre we stock, look at how each room is actually used, and tell you which one suits — including when it isn't this one.
