Privacy policy

Flooring FX is a Sydney flooring business at 46-48 Parramatta Road, Stanmore NSW 2048. This policy covers the information collected through our website, www.flooringfx.com.au.

Enquiries and quote requests. When you book a measure or send an enquiry, we ask for your name, phone number, email address and suburb, along with any project details you choose to include. We use these to respond to you, arrange your free measure and prepare your quote — that is all.

The flooring advisor. Conversations with our online advisor are stored so we can answer follow-up questions in context and improve the advice it gives. Contact details are only captured if you choose to share them, and are handled the same way as a website enquiry. Advisor messages are processed by the AI service providers that power it.

Technical and security data. We never store your IP address. To limit abuse of our forms and chat, we keep a salted one-way hash of it — a value that cannot be turned back into your address — together with basic request details such as your browser type and the page an enquiry came from.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used — which pages are visited and how people move between them. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) that assign your browser an anonymous identifier. We use this information in aggregate; we do not use it to personally identify you. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

The map on our contact page is embedded from Google Maps. Loading it involves your browser requesting content from Google, which is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

Enquiry details are stored in our secure customer database and emailed to our team so we can respond. We use reputable service providers to run the website: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery) and AI providers for the flooring advisor. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for.
