Why does floor preparation matter so much?
Because almost every floor that fails early fails from underneath — moisture in the slab, an uneven or dirty base, or old adhesive left in place. Proper preparation is quiet, unglamorous work, but it's the difference between a floor that lasts decades and one that squeaks or lifts within a year.
Do I always need floor preparation?
Not always — some subfloors are already sound and just need a clean and prime. But we'll never skip it to make a quote look cheaper. At the free measure we assess exactly what your base needs and tell you exactly what it needs, so there are no surprises once work starts.
