Wonderwood Floors
European Oak Collection — Herringbone
The oak décors cut to a 120mm × 15mm herringbone block, all Prime Grade — so the boards are clean and consistent and the eye follows the pattern rather than getting caught on knots. Six colours spanning a cool white through to a charred near-black.

Where it doesn’t suit
Everything we said about the ash herringbone applies here: more labour, more perimeter waste, and a subfloor that has to be genuinely flat because the pattern shows a dip far more than a straight lay does. The oak-specific point is grade. These are Prime, which is the calm uniform look — if you want herringbone with knots and character, Wonderwood does not offer it in this format and we would be steering you to a plank instead. A 120mm block also suits a bigger room than people expect; in a narrow hallway it can read fussy.

Why there is no price here
The number depends on your area, your subfloor and what preparation it needs — and a preparation surprise on the day is the thing that turns a good quote into a bad one. We measure first, then quote once, itemised.
