Where it doesn’t suit

Preference flag this range as light sensitive and so do we: Red Oak and White Ash both shift colour under sunlight, which matters in two practical ways. Rooms with big unscreened windows will change tone over time, and rugs laid in the first couple of months will leave a lighter patch when you move them. Their guidance is to screen the glass and keep rugs off for about eight weeks. If your main living room is west-facing and you will not fit blinds, choose a different range.
