European Oak wide plank at 190 x 14mm with a 3mm wear layer, 1900mm long with nested shorts, plus a herringbone option at 600 x 120mm. A/B/C Hi-Spec grade, so fewer knots and a cleaner look than the rustic grades, with a matte lacquer over a light wire brush.

Where it doesn’t suit
The 3mm wear layer is the real limit against Prestige Oak's 4 to 6mm — it is still enough to sand back once or twice, but it is not a floor for four decades of refinishing. What you get for that is a cleaner grade and a lower price on the same species. For a family home you intend to keep for ten or fifteen years, that is usually the better trade. Note the herringbone is direct fix only even though the planks can float.
