Van Gogh Rigid Core
The middle of the Karndean hybrid range and, for most homes, the sensible one. Twenty timber designs on a 5.5mm rigid board with a click joint and a 0.5mm wear layer, so it floats down like Knight Tile Rigid Core but wears like Van Gogh. The micro bevel gives each plank a defined edge rather than the flat sheet look thinner hybrids can have.

Where it doesn’t suit
At 5.5mm this is thick enough to need planning: over existing tile you are adding real height, and skirting, door undercuts and the transition to carpet all have to be worked out before the first board goes down rather than after. If you are covering a large open span, also budget for expansion gaps that stay hidden — floating floors need room to move, and a floor that is pinned at the edges will peak. If your rooms are small and the subfloor is already sound, glue-down Van Gogh gives you the same look with less height.
