If you like the idea of a wool loop but the chunky texture of Alps is more than you want in a bedroom, this is the one — the finer loop is less likely to snag and it takes a vacuum more easily. The trade-off is that a tight loop shows a vacuum's track marks and the odd flattened patch under a chair leg more than a chunky one does. And the dark end of the range, Estuary, will show lint and pet hair the way every dark carpet does; it photographs beautifully and lives harder than people expect.
