This is the most expensive carpet in the EC catalogue and it should be the last one you consider, not the first. Wool is worth it if you want the feel and the way it ages, and it is a poor trade if the room is full of afternoon sun — wool fades where solution dyed nylon does not, because the colour is dyed onto the fibre rather than locked into it. Also plan for shedding: a new wool carpet sheds loose fibre for months and that is normal, not a fault.
