Preference Classic Laminate
The value board, and the one that still carries the traditional Australian hardwood colours — Jarrah, Merbau, Kempas, Brush Box — that have largely disappeared from newer ranges. A narrow 125mm plank at 12.3mm thick, AC3 rated, on an FSC-certified HDF core with a lifetime structural warranty, finished at a 65% gloss.

Where it doesn’t suit
Two things will decide whether this is right for you, and neither is on the spec sheet. The 65% gloss is a lot of shine: it looks sharp on day one and it shows every scuff highlight and footprint after that — a matte board hides wear far better, which is why nearly everything else here is matte. And 125mm is narrow by current taste, so the floor reads as an older one; if you want the wide-plank look, this is not the range. It is here because those dark hardwood tones are genuinely hard to find now and because AC3 is genuinely enough for a bedroom or a rental — not because it is the floor we would steer most people towards.
